Berghia verrucicornis is a species of marine nudibranch in the family Aeolidiidae.[2]

Distribution

Berghia verrucicornis is an inhabitant of the North Atlantic Ocean, present in the Azores Exclusive Economic Zone, the Caribbean Sea, Costa Rica, European waters, the Gulf of Mexico, Jamaica, the Portuguese Exclusive Economic Zone, and the Spanish Exclusive Economic Zone.

Description

It has a maximum reported size of 18 mm.[1][3]

Habitat

Minimum recorded depth is 0 m.[3] Maximum recorded depth is 0 m.[3]

In the aquarium

Species from aquaria eating Aiptasia anemones have been called "Berghia verrucicornis", but it is species Aeolidiella stephanieae, that have been described in 2005.[4]
